MBBS, DRCOG
Year of registration - 1986

I am married to Deirdre and have 2 children aged 7 and
11, one of whom is disabled. We moved here from London when I joined the
Spinney in 1998.
I have a wide range of medical interests and enjoy the
generalist nature of General Practice. I have responsibility for
overseeing Diabetes care at the Spinney. I have a small role in local
medical politics, being a member of the Cambridgeshire Local Medical
Group, something that oversees local GPs and tries to ensure fairness
and good quality medical care for everyone.
The Spinney is a very dynamic surgery, packed with
talented staff. I enjoy working here - life is never dull and usually
very hectic mainly due to the many different projects we are all
involved with.
My non medical include motorcycles - I was a motorcycle
mechanic for a few years (no not part of my GP training!) and I enjoy
sailing, swimming, computers, electronic gadgets and music. I manage to
get to the Marriott Gym twice a week and am pleased to regularly meet a
few of my patients there.
I hope to continue working as a GP until I am 70;
something it looks like the Government wants us all to do!
