BSc, MBBS, MRCP(UK), DPH, MRCGP.
Year of registration - 1987

I joined The Spinney in 1999. Before becoming a GP I enjoyed a number
of medical careers including five years in General Medicine and five
years in Public Health Medicine. I see myself very much as a generalist but frequently call upon the
experience from my previous roles during my day-to-day work at the
Practice.
I am the clinical lead for audit and I have been training to become a
GP trainer, i.e. supervising the training of doctors who wish to train as
GPs. I also chair the St Ives Locality Commissioning Group, which
represents all the GP Practices in St Ives, and works with the Hunts PCT
in planning local health services.
I am married to Claire who works locally as a Physiotherapist and
have two energetic sons Nicholas and Bobby. Most of my time away from
the Spinney is spent with my family, but I also am interested in current
affairs, socialising and nice wine (not necessarily in that order!).
